Discover the Science Park of Granada: An interactive universe for the whole family

If you are planning a visit to Granada and are looking for a fun, educational experience suitable for all ages, the Science Park is an essential stop. This interactive museum is one of the most fascinating cultural spaces in Andalusia, where science, nature and technology are presented in an accessible, educational and spectacular way.

With more than 70,000 square metres of floor space, this museum complex invites children, young people and adults to become the protagonists of learning through participatory exhibitions, workshops, open-air spaces and immersive projections. Along the route you will find surprising areas such as the Macroscope, the Biodome, the Planetarium and the Foucault Pendulum building.

What will you find in the Science Park?

The Science Park is divided into several buildings and pavilions, each with a different theme. The aim is clear: to bring knowledge to everyone in a pleasant and intuitive way. Here you don't come to look, you come to experience.

The Macroscope and its pavilions

The Macroscope is one of the largest spaces in the park. It groups together different pavilions, among which the following stand out:

Journey to the human body: A permanent exhibition where you can find out how the body works from the inside. There are workshops on first aid, nutrition, genetics and neurology, ideal for learning with the family.
Culture of prevention: Through simulations and interactive games, this pavilion teaches how to identify and prevent everyday risks, whether at home, at work or on the road.
Tecno-Forum and Leonardo Da Vinci: Spaces dedicated to innovation, engineering and creativity, with exhibitions that pay tribute to the Florentine genius and the advances of modern science.

Biodome: A Journey to the Tropics

One of the great attractions of the Science Park is the Biodome, a space where the ecosystem of tropical regions such as the Amazon, Madagascar and the Indo-Pacific is recreated. Here more than 250 species of animals and plants live together in an environment that simulates their natural habitat.

Children and adults will marvel at the exotic birds, reptiles, mammals and fish while learning about biodiversity, sustainability and environmental conservation. This space also offers guided tours and educational workshops, perfect for getting the most out of the experience.

Foucault's Pendulum Building: Science for all senses

The building known as Foucault's Pendulum houses a series of rooms that explore different scientific disciplines:

Biosphere Room: Here you will understand how life on Earth works as a large ecosystem. You will discover facts about the oceans, the climate, volcanoes and energy.
Eureka Room: Ideal for hands-on physics experiments: Do you know how a gyroscope works, or what force holds a plane in the air? In this room you can find out for yourself.
Perception Room: A place to play with your senses. Light, sound and optical illusions combine to help you understand how your brain perceives reality.
Sala Explora: This area is especially designed for the youngest children (3 to 7 years old). A corner where they can discover, touch, build and have fun learning the basic principles of science.
Planetarium and Astronomical Observatory

Astronomy also has a special place in the Science Park. In the Foucault building you will find a Planetarium with an impressive 10-metre dome, as well as different modalities such as the Itinerant Planetarium or the Bubble Planetarium, designed for smaller sessions or special events.

Those fascinated by the universe should not miss the Astronomical Observatory, equipped with a reflecting telescope and a mobile dome. And if you fancy exploring the sky in a more traditional way, the Astronomy Garden will show you the instruments with which our ancestors used to study the stars.

Activities for the whole family

One of the great strengths of the Science Park is that it is much more than just a museum. There are permanent thematic workshops and specific activities for families, such as the first aid workshop, the discovery of insects or the study of animal behaviour. You can even continue to participate from home thanks to the online activities available on its website.

Temporary exhibitions

The park is constantly renewing its cultural offer with temporary exhibitions. Some of the most popular ones have dealt with themes such as space exploration, Iberian amphibians and reptiles, or the "do it yourself" movement in the scientific field. You should check the official website before you go so you don't miss out on anything new.
